RE:Tax complexity, September 4 2024 SIBSo if I remember correctly, I bought at $8 and tendered for $12.  

Company stating "Paid up Capital was $14.98"  and tender represents $0.48/share distribution".....

Do I have a Capital gain of $4/share??? ......    or do I have a LOSS !!!!   LOL  ...... or do I have a dividend of $0.48/share......    Or do I have a Capital Loss and a dividend   LOL.....

Who knows....  will see what tax slips and info brokers sends me.....

Any accountants out there know the answer and care to share?
