North to Alaska?

North to Alaska?Electrification of mining in the NW region, (Golden Triangle) prompted the building of the 344km  NW Transmission line into the region.

But in Alaska talk of the huge copper/gold/palladium/rhenium Pebble Mine, "maybe" getting a go ahead from Trump, which is planned to be highly automated and requiring a lot of electricity.

Canadian mining company, Northern Dynasty will probably be the operator. (Stock already moving up.) Hunter Dickinson Group.

The mine is proposed for 20 years but could be extended for many decades, some say 100 years.

Issues about it being in the Arctic Natural Wildlife Refuge and related concerns have been voiced. But some degree of compromise remains open.

It could come to whether renewable energy could be supplied. Offshore wind from Canada? Could maybe run a HVDC cable undersea. $500 billion of resource still untapped in Alaska. With every having an electrified assumption. Now know why politicians in Alaska want grid connection from Canada.
