Sleeping giants-astonishing electricity demand

Sleeping giants-astonishing electricity demandJust one more comment about Pebble Mine--Pebble happens to be one of the largest porphyry copper-gold-silver-molybdenum, and now rhenium, deposits ever discovered on Earth. 1/3 of world's rhenium. A rare metal.

This world-class deposit, however, happens to be near the equally world-class Bristol Bay salmon fishery. This juxtaposition of pre-eminent resources has many calling for extraordinary measures to ensure a Pebble Mine does not endanger the Southwest Alaska salmon fishery.

Another giant wanting fully electric operations, LNG Alaska. $44 billion project. Has the best carbon sequestration potential on Pacific Coast of North America.

More giants. Major hydrogen hub proposal. Could be fully electric or with carbonless natural gas.

Now we wonder about Phase 2 Canada LNG. Will it go ahead? Some say i's not a matter if, just a matter of when. Can it use electricity faster than 10 years from now and having to convert the trubines. Offshore wind?
