RE:US vs Canada aircraft registration Hey Stock.
Thanks for this info.
So here are some questions and comments to your points.
First, when a plane is sold by Bombardier to a US based company in Can.. Then the first thing that happens is that, it is registered to an Incorporated in Can. company as a Canadian numbered company, which is a subsidiary of the US company. Following Canadian Aviation laws. But doing business for the USA corporation.
Second when a (ferry) pilot takes the plane to the US, it is very common for those companies in the US to keep the company plane parked in their facility in the US. The US Govt would allow the US company to keep the plane in the US. After all the US company is a US company that owns the plane, so they can do as they wish with it.
Third, if the plane can't stay in the US over a 6 month period say? Then, why not send the plane back and forth to Canada for Service once every 6 months, for an overall service?
Fourth, Canada coiuld relax some of their laws/regulations for those US companies that own planes in Canada. This Tarrif is a serious issue for Canada's companies.
So, given
what Trump just said in this unexpected press conferance today about Canada. Then I say, leave it to the US companies that own these Canadian planes to deal with USA regulations. Canada should support those USA companies to sell Canadian planes.
In my books,
there is more than one way to skin a cat. This Orangutan is nuts, and he says whatever comes to his head.
I'm now convinced that this moron is like a rabid dog, that doesn't recognize anything, and coming to bite his friends like Canada, one of the USA's closest allies. He did this in his previous administration. He will cause CHAOS to North America and the world, to steal and benefit, for himself. He will do things according to what's good or advantageous for him, and not the USA, but will use the word's "It's best for the USA label" to get away with the steal. So we as Canadians, and our NEW Government, have to unite to fight this idiot, while he's in power. We don't have a choice. He's nuts. Personally.
I never agreed to have NAFTA in the first place, and always thought that we gave our country's identity, and resources away. When Mulrouney's Govt. negotiated NAFTA I thought he was a traitor The US has raped Canada of it's natural resources, and destroyed Retail, and Industrial development since. But we are now here, and we have to deal with this CHAOS for the next 4 years, with this criminal thief. I'm sure this too will pass. But when a bully does this? You have to punch him in the face. Or else he won't stop. Trudope was a perfect example of this. He went down there and kissed the ring of the MOB boss, and he was deemed a weakling, by Trump and the rest of Canada.
We need someone strong to lead the country, and it can't be Mark Carney or Freeland.
They are both not strong in these type of relations. One is a women, and she'll be eaten alive by Trump, and Carney is an enviromentalist and Carbon Tax type of guy. We need Carney's fiscal policies, but he won't get elected being connected to Trudope. We need someone like Doug Ford. So I guess I'll have to vote Conservative and keep my fingers crossed that, Poilievre can fight for Canada. I still hope that Carney can join the Govt in some form to help navigate through the Tarrif war,
the finacial ruin, that Trudope created with this
wrong Immigration, and then the housing crisis that followed.

To fly C registered aircraft, pilots need Canadian license, aircraft is maintained to Transport canada CAR (Canadian avaition regulations) where technicans are trained under Canadian regulations., and aircraft insurance and loans registered through Canadian companies.
Pilots flying new aircraft to US fly under ferry permit, which is temporary procedure to deliver aircraft from one nation to another when flight crew nationality or training don't match country of registration.
There is whole bunch of complication and regulations that will prevent you from keeping bombardier aircraft registered as C and fly/base in US. Also don't forget about employment laws as well.
