BUT, unless it's an all cash deal would you not expect to receive some shares of XYZ for the take over? Win win for you. You got a "better management" and also get to keep vet's assets. Who do we think would be interested in purchasing vet? Who's the Boogeyman? Being a share holder of a company that is a potential take over target is exactly where I want to be as an investor. But I'm in my 30s and don't need immediate results. I think they'll hit a number and when they get the share count to X (150M?) they'll stop buying shares and up the dividend substantially. We used to get 21 cents per month...
