RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:US doesn't need Canadian LumberSoftwood lumber dispute has been going on for decades because in the US, forestland is private and they look upon Canadian producers as getting free wood from crown land. It goes on endlessly because a thousand lawyers get rich every few years when it all comes up again. Wood is hardly anything close to being free with stumpage rates, and all associated logging costs but in BC the NDP have withdrawn so much wood because its been designated as parkland, oldgrowth, indigenous groups that claim 136% of the entire province and companies like Canfor and West Fraser have said see ya, and moved south to Trumps welcoming arms. Just like energy companies did when he was in his first term.
