Novacium Partners with the French Army’s Technical Section to Develop High-Capacity Silicon-Based Batteries

In today's press release, HPQ announced its French-based subsidiary—Novacium SAS, has entered a strategic partnership with the French Army's Technical Section (STAT) to develop high-capacity silicon-based batteries. These batteries will be designed to power critical military systems such as surveillance equipment, anti-drone technology, telecommunications, and autonomous vehicles.

The project is already underway, with the first prototypes, featuring GEN3 or potentially GEN4 cells, slated for delivery by Q1 2025. Rigorous testing by the French Armed Forces will follow, ensuring the batteries meet the operational demands of modern military applications.
