A black swan event.
Market crashes. Massive forced selling due to margin calls. Everyone who is leveraged gets flushed no matter the quality of what they hold. 

US markets at an all time high. P/E ratios through the roof. An unstable malignant narcissist about to take the helm..... it's not impossible.
