Hey SARGEX__100 %% AGREE

And ALL 3 of My OffSpring TOOK UP the SAME From MY GUIDANCE/EXAMPLE
I TRUST That YOU TOO Have HAD Great SUCCESS in This REGARD With
Your Now GROWN Up Kids eh ???
yes I taught them the value of a $ and NOT to take on unnecessary debt.
they work hard for their money. And participation trophies don't count in life.
what I will say is that that is the problem is the indoctrination of the kids born in the 80 and early 90's received at school. As mentioned above the overriding sentiment was that as long as you tried and participated you are a winner there is no such thing as loosing. Also this is the time they really started to push debit cards and using electronic means to pay for things, I remember as a kid working all day to make $10 and when you went and bought something you used cash. It hurts a little when you have to pull the physical bills of money from your wallet when you bought something. Makes you think twice and teaches you about want and need.
Also when the wallet was empty you were done.
They grew up with tap the little plastic thing here and there and being offered a credit card in high school, nothing wrong with with a little debt...right???
there is a feeling in that age group that no matter how hard they work they will never be able to afford a house especially after what happened with prices during the COVID sh it show.
anyhow this is a Telus forum and I won't plug up the board with anymore of this stuff but it's time for a change here in Canada!
we will see what the new government does ...but they are politicians and one of the best things my grandmother ever told me is that
" if you take all the politicians, put them in a big bag,tie it up and start hitting it with a big stick......you will always hit the right one!!"
