A cross border trade war has nothing to do with US politics. A worldwide trade war is what we are looking at.
Poet closed its most of its US located activities, so how this affects Poet at this time we do not know. However we DO know Malaysia, Canada, Singapore and China are not part of any US state. Any effect is going to be NEGATIVE.
