Sounds like your kids are a little older and more mature than my grandson. He has just turned twenty and his car and girlfriend seem to take up most of the space in his mind. Been there, done that. I keep prodding a bit but don't want to push too much. I got him into one biggy, T.ARE, and two small caps, this one and PNPN. The two small caps can't quit spinning their wheels going nowhere. ARE went from $11 to $29 (with a dividend) although it has backed up to $24. I bought him a small amount and try to encourage him to do a little dollar cost averaging but that has not worked well -- spare cash seems to go to car and girlfriend. Oh well! -- One day maybe.
