The first data on Kazakhstan's total #uranium production

The first data on Kazakhstan's total #uranium production in 2024 are already available. Chinese JVs have not been able to reach the planned production. Sulfuric acid supply problems continue.

It seems highly unlikely that Kazakhstan will reach its planned production in 2025, all indications are that a further drop in planned production will be reported during 2025.

First the plan for 2025 was to produce 30,500-31,500tU. Then 25,000-26,500tU was announced. The latter amount is 12% higher than the production plan for 2024, the same that has not been met by the Chinese JVs.

As said, a new production decrease should be internalized by all fuel buyers
