We used to joke back in the dot com bubble days that reporting revenue was the kiss of death. It was better to report "addressable market" than market share even if it was 100%. Mining is sort of the same. They keep stepping out further until they reach the limits of the ore body. Then something called the Lassonde curve kicks in. Google it. But it's basically the same thing. When the sky is the limit, it's hard to limit the value but once there is a limit, even if it's YUGE, it will be discounted. 10 years from discovery to producing metal isn't unheard of. What's a $billion worth 10 years from now? Or $10 billion? If the discount is too extreme, a major will snap it up and we all move on to the next one. Good Luck to us all.
