RE:RE:RE:Trump says he could impose 25% tariffs on CAN/MEX on 2/1This is why I feel they will only put a small Tarrifs on EV Vehicles to appease Musk, and that's it. He didn't declare the northern border an emergency in today's oval office scrum.
He is definitely going after Mexico on Feb. 1/25 .
But when Feb 1/25 comes, he'll get the report that Canada has complied with the NATO, about the 2% spending on Military. Or he'll say that his investigation group has asked for more time to review Canada's Tarrifs etc. So when that time comes he'll throw on the small EV tarrif for the unbalanced tarrifs. I'm sure he'll find a way to weasel out of imposing Tarrifs to Canada.

Come Feb 1st, and he will say that after review by his team, Canada has met the requirement for border security, etc. and trade is fare so no tariffs.

This was my understanding from the beginning when he first uttered the 25% ... the only worry is that he is unpredictable and a much more looney tunes than last term .., doing all that signing today is proof he wants to throw his weight around and he knows how to do it now .. he declared the Mexico border a national emergency ... hopefully Canadian officials can hash out a deal before February 1st because retaliatory tariffs isn't the right answer for the markets ..
