Rob2U....

Rob2U....IMO, well #1 will be shut in for the following reasons: 1) during the flow test, pressure gauges should be landed near the bottom of the well to record flowing bottom hole pressure. After the flow test, these gauges will remain downhole for an extended period of time (weeks to months) to record the pressure as it build back up. By recording the initial static reservoir pressure, the flowing pressure, the total amount of fluids withdrawn during the test, and teh final builup pressure (after weeks or months), CIVC can get a better estimate of reserves. This has been done before, but the greater the amount of information, the more accurate the final reserve calculation will be. 2) given the close proximity of the drilling rig to the #1 wellhead, it is not considered to be safe to operate a flowing well while another well is drilling ahead. 3) given that #2 is drilling, you do not want to have a well head that has pressure on it in close proximity. Better to run a tubing plug, and de-pressure the wellhead in the event anything would happen to compromise the integrity of the wellhead. 4) the gov't of NF has still not given development approval. IMO, without approval, #1 cannot produce for an extended period of time. #2 is considered to be a step out well, and again, IMO, is not considered to be a development well. #2 is only to delinate the pool at this time. If #2 can prove up the pool, then developmetn can begin. Again, these are only my opinions. If Barrhead or Lilbirdie from the CDH ?? or ONG ?? forum (sorry, forgot where I saw these individuals)are following this, i would really like your comments. Thanks -- Hubbie
