RE: QuestionThe book value is only a positive number if you think the goodwill (the
premium paid for past acquistitions) has any value. The tangible asset book
value is negative.
When you read todays financials and see how they lost all $14m of
shareholders money this year, take a moment to remember what Ritter was
doing last year March 2000:
Carl Ritter, under the umbrella of an Ontario numbered company,
reported 34 separate sales of Carbiz [V.CZ] stock in the period January 31
to February 7, according to the latest weekly insider trading report
published by the Ontario Securities Commission. Ritter sold a total of
168,100 shares at prices ranging from $2.09 to $2.50. Carbiz enjoyed a
run-up recently, but has pulled back off of its 52 week high of $8.00 and is
trading at $5.90 Tuesday afternoon.
Hang him high!
