RE: Share Price = Current Valuation

RE: Share Price = Current Valuationmrhorn your calculations are not accurate to me. First of all as Lawnboy has pointed out the 118 million barrels you referred to are recoverable reserves not total reserves. Your figure of operating with a 10% net back to CQV at $50.00 cdn a barrel are way out of whack. From what I can gather the break even point is around $12 per barrel therefore approx. $38.00 is pre-tax profit. This is certainly a reasonable amount since Hibernia with its $6 billion platform has a $12 break even point. Rework your figures based on that and see what you come up with. Lately buyouts of oil producers have given a value of between $8-$10 a barrel of oil in reserves so 118 million barrels with 59 million being owned by CQV would give a market price for a buyout of between $472 and $500 million or around $6.50 per share. All this is assuming that they do prove the 118 miilion barrels. I hate to post these kind of numbers since I don't want to pump the stock higher than what it should be at the present. I just want to point out what I see as discrepancies in your calculations.
