BOTEX RENEWS AND EXPANDS ON HO SPORTS CONTRACT
Botex Industries Corp. (Botex) is pleased to announce the renewal of its contract with HO Sports, Inc. (HO Sports) of Redmond, Washington, USA for the 2002 season.
HO Sports, www.hosports.com, is the global market share leader in the high-end wakeboard and waterski business. HO Sports manufactures and sells products under the "Hyperlite", "HO" and "Jobe" brand names.
The production requirement is for HO Sports' 2002-product season, commencing this month, June 2001. The initial purchase order received is for 20% of the estimated annual order. This initial order is for an approximate total value of Cdn$220,429.
Mr. Herb O'Brien, founder and President of HO Sports noted, "We switched from neoprene to using Botex in our bindings product line last year and the response has been extremely positive. Due to Botex, the bindings look better than anything else we've seen. The Botex material and manufacturing process allows our new FormFit overlays to have multi-levels, multi-densities and variable elasticity within the same overlay. This manufacturing flexibility provides more support, better contouring and better elasticity, all in specific areas. Excellent UV resistance makes for long lasting, vivid graphics built right into the product. We are excited to be working with Botex again this year and look forward to introducing the new HO Sports 2002 line."
Mr. Peter Jeffrey, President & CEO of Botex, added, "We are pleased to be working again with HO Sports. Our Product Development and Production departments have been liaising closely with the customer to help design their unique and new 2002 product line utilizing our proprietary material and patent-pending process to provide a superior article. The renewed and expanded business from HO Sports, as well as from our other customers, clearly establishes a strong market for Botex-made products. We are excited about the results of our efforts to capitalize on the growing demand for our process and material and we are focused on accelerating this trend throughout the year."
Botex is a proprietary material and patent-pending process used to create unique, elastomeric products that offer exceptionally high combined abrasion and flexural strengths, as it provides the elasticity of rubber with the superior abrasion and anti-weathering characteristics of plastic. Botex builds single or multi-colored products of single or multiple durometers. All colors and densities are chemically bonded in a single mold production process. This results in a finished product, which is both technically and cosmetically superior to many rubber and urethane products. The Botex material is anti-bacterial, antifungal, and U.V. stable. The Company currently manufactures products for the shoe industry, athletics and sporting goods markets, as well as for industrial markets.
