Tirex Corp TXMC

The Tirex Corporation develops and owns technology that is a semi-cryogenic tire recycling process, known as the Tirex Cryo System (TCS). The technology reduces scrap tires into -5 to 30 mesh (or finer) clean crumb rubber with a morphology and saleable, intact steel wire and fiber. The Company's TCS System is a tire reduction system, which uses a fracturing unit in combination with a freezing process, which does not require liquid nitrogen to produce crumb rubber. Its proprietary process, that doesn't use liquid nitrogen, freezes the rubber and then passes it through its fracturing mill, which breaks the rubber apart, instead of cutting it, exposing the whole strands of steel and fiber, and leaving a value-added crumb rubber that is suited for extrusion molding recycled rubber products and higher end performance surfaces.

TXMC SUPPLIES RECYCLED RUBBER TO XERUS

TXMC SUPPLIES RECYCLED RUBBER TO XERUSTirex Supplies its Recycled Rubber Rutex(TM) to Xerus for Manufacturing New Products MONTREAL, July 12 /PRNewswire/ - The Tirex Corporation (OTCBB-TXMC) announced today that it has recently received a production order from Xerus Inc., also of Montreal and Quebec City, for 10,000 lbs per month for six months renewable of Tirex's crumb rubber, Rutex(tm), produced by its patented cryogenic tire recycling technology, the TCS-1. Xerus will use Rutex(tm) to produce 40,000 mudflaps and tiles for athletic surfaces. Tirex President, John L. Threshie Jr. stated, "Xerus and Tirex are very pleased with the unique products we've developed and this initial order as we enter the emerging market of thermoplastic-rubber composite materials". Tirex announced in April a joint venture between Tirex and Xerus to market and sell recycled rubber products. Xerus began production after testing Rutex(tm) against their customers' product specifications. Xerus' co-founder, Andre Valois, believes "Rutex(tm) can be compounded as is with thermoplastics into high value-added products without first requiring costly pre-treatment processes such as devulcanization or surface activation". Mr. Valois reported that the recycled product is excellent quality at a competitive cost advantage with up to 70% Rutex(tm) combined with Xerus' thermoplastic formulation." Xerus' customer for its mudflaps, Festival des Transporteurs Routiers du Quebec, intends to supply several transport organizations including the Quebec Government's Ministry of Transport. Xerus' tiles have been tested and will be produced for artificial athletic surfaces for a world renowned manufacturer. Tirex has developed its relationship with the Xerus cofounders over several years through research and development collaboration. Xerus was formed to enter the fast growing industry of plastic and rubber recycling with the formulation of plastic and rubber composites that will impact both the plastic and rubber industries with higher value-added products. The co-founders of Xerus, Michel DeBlois of MD Technologies (www.mdtechnologie.com), who has a long history of successful business ventures in this field and has been recognized for his scientific achievements specializing in industry applied R&D with awards such as the J. Armand Bombardier ACFAS award in 1996, and Andre Valois, a plastics consultant whose expertise has been designing, developing and marketing innovative plastics and rubber products. Tirex plans to develop joint ventures with companies worldwide that will use the Rutex(tm) output of TCS Systems, to formulate and develop crumb rubber products created by the Tirex / Xerus alliance. Tirex claims its TCS Systems represent economically viable and environmentally friendly technologies capable of producing exceptionally clean rubber with very high rubber recovery yields from scrap tires. Tirex is marketing and selling TCS Systems to tire recyclers and entrepreneurs interested in the economic and environmental advantages of its technology. The Tirex TCS-1 prototype and commercial system is located in Montreal. Sales negotiations and production planning for customers in Europe and the United States are ongoing in collaboration with Tirex' production partner, SIMPRO S.p.A. (www.simpro.it), a manufacturing company based in Turin, Italy, which is European Community ECO Management certified and an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 high-tech content supplier of industrial production systems, primarily for the automotive industry. SIMPRO has established turnkey facilities for Volvo, Audi, Volkswagen and Fiat with facilities in Europe and South America.
