RE: Comment on Last Mile on RobTV

RE: Comment on Last Mile on RobTVx, Joe Connolly of Cockfield Porretti Cunningham Investment Counsel was the guest of Ali Veshi on Friday’s Market Call Tonight. Here’s what I could make out from the interview. Question from Lawrence of Toronto. Q. In listening to comments about JDSU and JLW, suppliers to Nortel and the long haul network, they all have been hit recently. However there are a lot of pundits in the metro or last mile sector and it is (viewed) to be the next growth sector in the short term. Was wondering if Juniper is a good play. A. Last Mile and making connection to the long haul is vitally important. The question is are we ready for the last mile. Build out of the long haul has ground to a halt. If the build out is going to happen then building out the last mile is a must and Juniper will take off . However the short term is tough. More demand will result for Juniper but it will rely on the Lucents, Nortels and Ciennas to take off for the demand to kick in. (Anyone else add to this) Hope this helps. Painter
