RE: A modest proposal..

RE: A modest proposal..Greede, C$150K = about GBP65K. Having lived in London, I don't think I'd want to see my salary cut much below that, especially if I had a family. The cost of living there is incredibly high. While some like to say that what costs a dollar over here costs a pound over there, the rule doesn't take into consideration the fact that property, transportation, and energy costs are exorbitant. So while C$65,000 is a pretty good salary in Canada, GBP65,000 is not all that great. Amazingly people survive on much less in London, but they're living on credit. I do like the idea of management taking a cut if they can afford it - e.g., if they have some savings or spouses with a good income. I don't think that FAS is in entirely the same boat as Linmor, however, as the two companies are in different industry sectors. Linmor also has competitors, FAS doesn't. And Linmor is more established than FAS - they've already developed a market and are seeing it dry up. FAS is still developing their market. Just my C$0.02 (or GBP0.0087). Erick
