Oncolytics Biotech Inc T.ONC

Alternate Symbol(s):  ONCY

Oncolytics Biotech Inc. is a clinical-stage biotechnology company. The Company is focused on developing pelareorep, an intravenously delivered immunotherapeutic agent that activates the innate and adaptive immune systems and weakens tumor defense mechanisms. This compound induces anti-cancer immune responses and promotes an inflamed tumor phenotype turning cold tumors hot through innate and adaptive immune responses to treat a variety of cancers. This improves the ability of the immune system to fight cancer, making tumors more susceptible to a broad range of oncology treatments. The Company’s primary focus is to advance its programs in hormone receptor-positive / human epidermal growth factor 2- negative (HR+/HER2-) metastatic breast cancer and advanced/metastatic pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma to registration-enabling clinical studies. In addition, it is exploring opportunities for registrational programs in other gastrointestinal cancers through its GOBLET platform study.

good and bad

good and badI read both good and bad in ONC's job posting: Good because ONC needs more employees to at least give the appearance of being more credible (take a look at the number of employees and job postings for CEGE). I think both potential investors and potential partners might be a little concerned that ONC is not busier... BAD because ONC was very seriously hoping for a human partnership this fall and felt there was a strong possiblity that the partner would be running the phase 2 trials. This posting appears to be an admission that a partnership is far away. Also... someone please explain why ONC cannot provide at least a little news for us (eg. 5 of 6 cohorts finished). Anything would be nice! If Brad has a genuine concern for his 9000+ shareholders, shouldn't he offer us something?
