RE: lesson learned?
TELUS has just undergone a significant "rebalancing" of their balance sheet...the condition of their financial statements is by design;... TELUS is one of the companies that has "got it" and understands that "assets" like bricks and mortar are actually liabilities. TELUS has sold hundreds of millions of dollars worth of idle "assets" and converted them into growth organizations that fit the next wave of telecommunications...namely wireless, Data and IP. TELUS is investing in assets (and goodwill) that will generate growth in the future.
To compare TELUS to ENRON is rediculous.
