As mentioned in the company's latest press release,Vulcan has commenced its onshore drilling program at Flay Bay.Conductor casing has been drilled to a depth of 16.4 metres with a water well unit in preparation for the actual well.I am not certain if drilling has recommenced, however, you can be reasonably certain that it is imminent.The company would most likely not have begun operations if it anticipated a delay in permitting.Recent activity in the share price may be an indication that drilling has either started or is near.
This is a huge target and should generate a lot of speculation as the program moves forward.If this is a successful hole, we have ourselves an oilfield.Remember that Vulcan penetrated more than 100 metres of oil bearing formation in Flat bay #1,approx. 3km southwest of Captain Cook #1.
