Well, OwlBrumell said:
"To each their own owl, but appeasement is not my style. He's bogus. Challenge him. Put the questions back on him. By his answers you'll soon know."
You have certainly challenged him! And through his posts and his answers you have certainly made me wonder! As Fatlow suggested, how could anyone legitimate read Stoxxman's post and say he was the only one with credibility!
I am not a geologist, and I know that a lot of geologists disagree with one another. I know geos who work in the Canadian Shield, and a lot who work in the western Cordillera (sp?). Admire many of both types, but am amazed at their differing outlooks re IP and EM. The Nevadans dismiss EM outright, and the Canuck Shield boys would never bother looking for a conductor with IP (why use the expensive method if EM can be used).
On this one, if there is a lot of massive pyrite and/or galena in the target, I would side with the shield boys and use EM. (Owl you and xela are both on same side favoring IP).
I agree with Gobbly re:"the particles must be touching to be picked up by IP" That statement, from my experience is wrong. The times we used IP was to try and find a zone of disseminated pyrite, hoping it would contain gold. If the particles were touching, there would have been conductivity and we would have found a conductor with EM.
The thought occured to me that Xela worked for one of the companies who turned down a JV with Ply. If he did I am sure he had sincere reasons for turning down the JV and it is natural for him to defend his decision, as so far there is nothing to prove him wrong and indications that he may be right.
I think it was Russet who used the football analogy and the long bomb. Good analogy. I said way before the first hole was drilled that vertical holes were not the way to go. The chances of hitting something drilling pin pricks are just like the chances of the long bomb succeeding.
Anyway, if Xela is Stoxxy in drag, it certainly is easier talking to him/her than it was dealing with the @#$@&%$# from Stoxx. And Xela has certainly inspired you Owl, to do a lot of work and report it here. I certainly appreciate your efforts!
Keep up the good work, pardner!
As far as the condemnation of management, by Xela and previous posters (Stoxx), fot their releases, I just shake my head. C,mon boys and girls, cut them some slack! The share price rose a little bit (7 cents?) on low volume on the anticipation of good drill results. There was very little promotion, no insider selling, and as soon as they started talking about mineralization in the drill cuttings, my gut told me "no ore so far". Some posters were smart enough to bail at that point (I either did not have the brains, the skill or the access to do the same). Stoxx figured this was an attempt by management to pump the stock. Some pump!!!! A child could have done a much better job of pumping by saying nothing official and hitting the phones with rumors, building up the suspense as we waited for assays and check assays from the second lab! There are a lot more serious problems with CDNX companies (and NYSE companies with off-balance sheet items!) than anything Ply may have contemplated or inadvertently done!
