RE: Rumor or Fact? TelUS layoffs BC...Speculation is more like it. TELUS would not be allowed to relocate to the US give the current CRTC ownership rules...In fact today, VERIZON does own about 25% of TELUS shares. If this ownership regulation went away, who knows what would happen and who would be merged with who. And that goes for all other Telco's in CANADA. This industry needs SYSNERGIES like many others do today to keep stock prices up. As they sit today, costs are going up and revenues are only increasing as you capture market share (Something I think TELUS is well positioned to do). Now relocation withing CANADA...Why not move TELUS to Toronto, near their biggest current potential market and in the same time zone as their biggest share holder (Verizon)
