RE: Bull & Bear Fund (Kyne)

RE: Bull & Bear Fund (Kyne)First of all, the top ten list refers to Mr. Kyne's top ten holdings in his fund. As to their appearance as a result of being popular, allow me to point out the following: 1. The placement in the top ten is partailly due to the price of the share; the higher the price, the greater the value and thus the higher the ranking. If one of the top five declined in value, it may push the # 5 to # 7 and thus # 6 could become # 4; this is not determined by popularity by Mr. Kyne, it is called math. 2. WRX has been in the top ten since Mr. Kyne's fund was created. It was also in his top ten prior to that at the others funds he managed previoulsy. As to WRX declinging to #11 or # 12 as a result of popularity, clearly you are not familiar with Mr. Kyne; he has held WRX since the days it was ISS, which would mean he could see their value several years ago, long before they had their recent run-up. And I might add, he maintained this correct vision all through the really low days of under $ 2 a share. As to if you would buy # 1 - # 9, Mr. Kyne has forgotten more about investing than you or I will ever obtain; maybe you should look into who he was with for over 5 years; he worked with Mr. Richard Dreyhause. If that name is not familiar to you - you really need to investigate which money managers are good and which are great; Mr. Dreyhause is at the top of the list of the greats. Maybe that is partially how Mr. Kyne acquired the ability to see value years before all the instituions who just bought in could see it.
