Versatile Mobile Systems (Canada) Inc. (CDNX:VMS) previously announced on December 21, 2001, an agreement to acquire RangeGate (Pty) Ltd. from Datatec Ltd (JSE:DTC). Closing was scheduled for March 31, 2002. By mutual agreement, closing has been extended to April 30, 2002 to enable Datatec Ltd to obtain regulatory approval from the South African Reserve Bank.
