RE: prostate trialThe prostate trial gives ONC the opportunity to see how the virus progresses in a human tumor by examining the surgically removed tumors. It is simply research that they need to do to understand as much as possible about the virus treatment. They've done it on animals, so now they need to do it on humans.
It shouldn't be expensive, since the prostates will be taken out as part of the standard treatment. So the healthcare insurance would pay for the surgery part, wouldn't it?
So whether it leads to pivotal studies or not, it is basic, needed research. If not prostates, it would have to be something else. Not brains -- people need them.
