I knew when I first looked at it that it would move well in this environment. (If your going to buy trees, no exposure to silviculture, what other one would you buy along with strong earnings growth) Debt is large but cashflows were larger with the promise of strong growth in the future.
I was in Domtar last fall and became acquainted with Norapac and the connection with Cascades. Flipped it for ~19% but couldn't stand the threat of duties for the lumber end of the business that were to come, so I stayed out.
Like I said earlier I watched Cascades bounce off of the 14 dollar mark twice then entered. I'm planning to hold this one for a couple of years, fundamentals permitting. I like the rise in the dividend as well, .12 to .16 up 33%, pretty sweet.
