You are blinded by what the nickel miners call "Fools Gold". I know because I used to be a miner for Inco in Sudbury Ontario. The gold rush is over, you don't have to be a doctor, dentist, teacher, psychologist or a rocket scientist to understand that. A little bit of Business 1A6 or Economics 2E3 might help though.
Watch out below when the price of gold breaks below the $300 an ounce next week. OUCH. If you didn't see the peak in gold 2 to 3 months ago then you probably didn't see the bottom in the markets this past week. Things don't go up forever and things don't go down forever. The markets have historically always been the best place to be in the long haul.
The Running of the Bulls in Pamplona Spain is just a prelude to the running of the bulls in North American markets which started this past week. Much more to come as we approach the Aug 14th deadline. Earnings are improving if only slightly. Most investors don't have their retirement savings tied up in gold but equities, GIC's and mutual funds.
