RE: Not an Impressive Release

RE: Not an Impressive ReleaseJet / TM, Agree with both of you Ignore talk of 'push technology' is marketing twaddle. It is pull, just like the rest of Sabre and the internet. However, it is of no consequence. I beleive that Sabre wrote the front end, and are simply interrogating and hopefully booking inventory held on Solarnet, presumabley using the API announced earlier this year. There was a posting earlier this week I questioned showing Sabre were offering inventory from other Web based systems too. Would love to hear how this all ties up and works, deductions make sense, but are not always correct. I hope that the reason we have not seen bookings on RTBE and a zero marketing budget for the last 6 months is because SCS were going to let the GDS's do the marketing (wise) and that TA's could get a better deal (by getting their segment count credit) by booking direct on the GDS rather than through Solarnet. I hope there are no other reasons for such poor sales in the last few months. Because if not, the only thing between us and a lot of $'s is contracts with the other GDS's and a lot more inventory (consolidators and tour firms). Idle
