Credibility xela1xela1 has twice recently made strong unsupported statements that have proved to be in error.
Firstly that sulfides can only form at very high temperatures “Above 600 degrees C to be more specific” this is simply not true. Secondly that Mosher does not describe ”fluvial or otherwise aqueous deposits” When, in fact he does and it is easily accessible on the PLY website.
I, for one, will not accept xela1's unsuported statements and will be checking them all. xela1 has lost whatever credibility he/she had, at least as far as I am concerned.
Then xela1 starts a big smokescreen to avoid dealing with the major flaw in his/her argument which is:
THERE IS INSUFFICIENT SULFUR IN THE SOIL AT SAN MIGUEL FOR THE SOIL ANOMALY TO BE CAUSED BY SULFIDES
Yes, the issue of how the occasional sulfide grain got into the soil is interesting but it is not the central issue. The soil anomaly is not caused by sulfides, there simply isn't enough sulfur.
