RE: Read this - for the "starry eyed" crowd... Heha, you make an excellent point about making investment decisions based on hope. An experienced thinking investor must constantly check his reasons for each investment choice. NRI is an expensive non-producer but that is because of the potential of all of their properties, mostly Donlin which remains open to the upside in several directions. Sorry I don't agree about jewellery being one of the biggest factors for the price of gold. With the tonnes of gold bars sitting in vaults collecting dust there would have to have been a big jump in the demand for jewellry the past year to move the POG up $40-$50, don't you think.In past centuries golds value was as a currency.
