News: fisrt order from first IlecNHC Announces $2.4 Million in Orders from its First Major US ILEC - Successful First Office Applications Create Largest Automated Mainframes in North America
NHC Communications Inc. today announced that it has received $2.4 million in orders from its first major US incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC). The contract with this ILEC customer to purchase NHC's ControlPoint(TM) family of products was announced during calendar 2001.
These orders include the sale of an undisclosed number of ControlPoint(TM) solutions following the successful completion of two first office application (FOAs) field trials at two separate central offices. In conjunction with these successful installations, the ILEC customer has completed an order to purchase from NHC its larger models of the ControlPoint(TM) solution for use in an unmanned central office for which the installation is currently in progress. Based on the credit terms provided, approximately $800,000 should be paid later this week and the remaining balance of approximately $1.6 million is expected to be paid during NHC's second quarter of fiscal 2003 ending January 2003.
These central office installations have created the largest working automated main distribution frames in North America. This ILEC is using multiple ControlPoint(TM) 5400s linked together to control large unmanned COs with over 6,000 voice and data lines. With two COs already using multiple ControlPoint(TM) 5400s and one CO in the installation process at this ILEC, NHC has delivered North America's largest automated main distribution frame (MDF) into three locations.
"We have achieved a significant milestone by successfully linking multiple ControlPoint(TM) systems to manage larger central offices," said NHC President and CEO Sylvain Abitbol. "This is a major step forward to being able to service our customers' needs from very small to large unmanned central offices. More importantly, NHC has demonstrated that our software and hardware technology can be implemented on a large-scale, and only adds to our leadership position in the growing automated mainframe sector," added Abitbol.
These solutions clearly demonstrate that automating the manual processes on the MDF provide ILECs with a significant ROI by providing "flow-through" provisioning and test access, thereby significantly reducing operating costs.
"With these conclusive FOAs and first payment, we have every confidence that this US ILEC customer will continue their adoption process of our ControlPoint(TM) solutions" said NHC President and CEO Sylvain Abitbol.
