RE: Re: PatentOne year WOULD be unusual. That is, unusually quick. Two years from filing date is more realistic. The last one I was involved with was just issued earlier this year, and was filed early in 2000. And it has very little to do with how involved the technology is, or how close to another existing technolgy, as was stated before. It's almost entirely due to the HUGE volume of applications. Most of the waiting involves the period of time before the application is ever looked at.
