Snowfield Development Corp announces that drilling commenced on the evening shift of April 07, 2003 on the Gten 1, 2, 3, and 5 mineral claims. The first hole was collared on a target on the Gten 2 claim. This target was selected based on airborne and ground geophysical data supported by down ice geochemical sampling. The current drilling program will investigate up to 10 anomalies on the Gten 1, 2, 3, and 5 claims.
Snowfield can earn a 50% interest in the Gten1, 2, 3, and 5 group of claims under agreements with Diamonds North Resources Ltd (25%) and Magrum-Weir (25%). The Gten claims cover 2169 acres and are part of Snowfield's 40,000 acre land position in the Drybones Bay area where the Company is exploring for a diamondiferous kimberlite field. The discovery by Snowfield of a kimberlite complex at Mud Lake, approximately 5.5 km SW of the Gten 2 claim, announced March 10, 2003 (NR03-14) validates the Company's exploration criteria for this highly prospective area located approximately 55 kilometres southeast of Yellowknife, NWT.
