The industry consortium, which also includes Wi-LAN Inc. of Calgary, Finnish phone equipment giant Nokia Corp. and the Fujitsu Microelectronics America division of Japan's Fujitsu Ltd., is called the WiMAX Forum and it is pushing a new wireless networking standard known as 802.16.
