RE: Would This Impact SCS?

RE: Would This Impact SCS?No we are not supplying any of the technology to link them in to the GDS's (most airlines aleready are, they were the people that created the GDS's in the first place. Alos the key phrase is... -- Participating airlines provide all Sabre GDS users broad access to schedules, seat availability and published fares, including Web fares and other promotional fares, but excluding opaque fares and private discounts. I suspect the latter therefore excludes consolidator fares, exactly the information we providing through SRM. The only way this willaffect us is if airlines publically doscounted fares close in on consolidator fares, squeezing the consolidator out of the market. That has already started to happen in UK, I can usually book cheaper on Opodo than with my TA whoe are a huge UK consolidator and were one of the cheapest sources of flights in the UK til recently.
