RE: Rrider/IR

RE: Rrider/IRSorry europe, forgot to reply to your earlier post, which I have to say I agreed with. You asked. "Still it can all stumble on finances (low risk), technical issues (low risk, or what do you say Idle?) or another Sept 11 (unlikely)" I say.. Or another GATT (legal / technical), definitely possible. Consider TT/SB. It is the key system to a tour operator, it manages sales, inventory and accounting. If it's off line it is a MAJOR issue, could effecftively halt sales at a compnay. Computer systems break down, building are affected by fire, flood and other natural disasters, then there is theft. How good are our contracts, how good is our disaster Contingency, do we carry spare drives, servers... How long would it take to set up eslewhere if there was a fire. Is Data backed up off site or would that go in the flames too. And if any of these things 'went wrong' would we get our butts sued, and how many TT/SB would we sell after a disaster like that and a pending law suit. Given our finances frankly it could bankrupt us (finance). So yes there are financial, technical and legal risks that are real. Plase note, I have not spoke to compnay re DR, this is all pure specualtion of where risks might exist. Idle
