Production is expected to commence late fall 2003 to coincide with the official network announcement. The series is expected to air late spring 2004, with 65 shows to be produced over a five-year period. The new program will star Michael Cariglio who delights millions of children with his portrayal of Pappy Drewitt (star of the hit show "Pappyland"), an artist who teaches children how to draw in "real time", prompting hundreds of thousands of letters from kids throughout North America. Upon its release, the program was named a Top Ten Children's Show by TV Guide and was praised by parents and educators alike. The new show, tentatively named "ArtVentures" will also feature drawing and coloring as well as the addition of painting, sculpturing, crafts and other creative expressions, accompanied by lessons on art history from ancient times to today.
