Bulk Sample

Bulk SampleBulk samples like the one Shore is undertaking are not always positive. In 1993 Kennecott conducted a 5000 tonne bulk sample on the Tli Kwi Cho pipe without properly delineating the internal geometry of this complex pipe (arguably not nearly as complex as the Falc pipes). The outcome of that program, which cost over $20 million, was a disaster when it delivered not only a substantially lower grade than expected, but very poor quality diamonds in the larger sizes. My motivation? (I'm neither Tmaster nor short): don't mortgage your house on this play. The bulk sample is barely scratches the surface of this huge and complex kimberlite and firm conclusions about the econonomic viabilty of Star can't be drawn even after the sample. It is a BIG gamble- hence the current low share price of Shore.
