https://biz.yahoo.com/cnw/031015/electra_gold_shipment_1.html TSX VENTURE: ELT VANCOUVER, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - Electra Gold Ltd. is pleased to announce that the first barge load of chalky geyserite was shipped from Port Hardy to the cement plant of Ash Grove Cement Company at their Seattle operation on Thursday, October 10, 2003. The barge load is estimated to contain approximately 8,000 tons. Electra Gold is in the final stages of negotiating a 3-year purchase contract with Ash Grove Cement Company. The company has been operating on a bulk sample basis until final permitting is in place. Electra Gold has been working with the BC Department of Mines regarding permitting of long term production. Keystone Environmental Ltd. of Burnaby, BC has designed a pilot system for surface drainage management. The Company's environmental consultants, the BC Department of Mines and Electra Gold officials developed a strategy to study the effects of the proposed operation at the Apple Bay industrial mineral property in the context of producing chalky geyserite and geyserite as cement feed stock. Keystone and Electra Gold's other environmental consultants are confident that the test results will exceed acceptable guidelines for protection of the environment.
