NewsMandorin Goldfields Inc (C-MGD) - News Release Mandorin plans drilling after identifying 59 targets Mandorin Goldfields Inc MGD Shares issued 44,541,226 Oct 17 2003 close $ 0.07 Monday October 20 2003 News Release Mr. Malcolm Stevens reports MANDORIN GOLDFIELDS INC.: DRILL TESTING PLANNED As announced in Stockwatch on Oct. 1, 2003, initial interpretation, by the company's geological consultants, of data covering diamond exploration target areas in Queensland, has identified 59 high-priority (priority 1 and 2) targets that warrant ground followup. These discrete anomalies have character consistent with kimberlite or lamproite intrusive sources. Immediately upon the granting of the tenement applications (made on Oct. 1, 2003), field geological investigation will commence to enable the finalization of target selections and the commencement of a drill testing program. This diamond-focused program will be supervised by Graeme Mackee, an experienced geophysicist, with demonstrated expertise and success in the search for kimberlites and related intrusives. Specialist support will be provided by Jeff Foster, a geologist with expertise in intrusive systems including kimberlites and related rocks. Mr. Mackee is a qualified person under National Instrument (NI) 43-101. Mandorin licence for exclusive worldwide rights to use KDC Endeavour Mandorin has entered into a licence agreement (approved by TSX Venture Exchange on Sept. 15, 2003 -- please refer to news in Stockwatch dated Sept. 16, 2003) with UniQuest, the commercialization company of the University of Queensland, for exclusive worldwide rights to use the KDC Endeavour technique. The KDC Endeavour technique is a new diamond exploration paradigm that explains the presence of diamonds in "non-traditional" target areas. It has been developed by Ken Collerson, professor of Earth sciences, and director of Acquire (www.acquirelab.com.au) at the University of Queensland. Mandorin plans to first prove the technology in trial exploration programs before seeking to exploit it more broadly.
