VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA--E.S.I. Environmental Sensors Inc. ("ESI", "the Company") is pleased to announce that the United States Patent has been granted for its FloPoint(TM) instrument. The Canadian and other patents remain pending. While the approval process for patents can take several years, the instrument version designed for oil well applications, is the first patent awarded. The Company is considering the merits of further complementary patents for applications in other market sectors.
FloPoint(TM) assesses the percentage of water content in oil, on a real-time basis, in multiple oil production applications, and can eliminate water cut sampling. FloPoint(TM) single unit, no-moving parts construction is versatile and provides real-time monitoring. Its major customer benefit is revenue enhancement.
Mr. Howard Dixon, Chairman of the Board regrets to announce that due to growing business interests and foreign travel commitments, Dr. Brian Harper has stepped down from the Board. His Board colleagues, the Management and Staff at ESI wish him success in his future endeavours, and thank him for his valuable contribution to the Company this year.
