RE: whats the problem guysExactly. The most important point, in my view, of this news release was "step-out drill hole 3114, located 220 metres outside the southeastern boundary of the Pebble deposit... opens up the southeastern side of Pebble deposit to dramatic expansion of the higher-grade mineralization."
Ore bodies are volumetric entities, which means even small changes to dimensions can have large impacts on the volume calculation. A simple example is if you have volume with each side of 4 units (can be metres, feet, whatever) and 4 units deep you have a volume of 4x4x4=64.
By increasing the dimensions only 25% and making them now 5 units each you have 5x5x5=125. The volume has almost doubled!
Keep this in mind when NDM mentions that the deposit has expanded in some direction as the effect on the volume will be very dramatic.
I know it is a simple example but I hope it makes the point.
