RE: ATQ - Musing

RE: ATQ - MusingHey techi02, I can see you now working all sides to this question. Here is the response I gave you on the ATQ Board where you tell the world that you want squeeky clean corporate governance. Squeeky clean at the expense of talent? Now does that really serve the interests of shareholders. In my view, sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't When you are talking about one Director out of 4 or more, I'm sorry, the squeeky clean approach is ideological, not sensible. McLean is one out of how many directors? He will certainly not outvote them. You speak of optics and when you say its not about law its about optics, you err again. You know the legal aphorism that even an APPEARANCE of conflict of interest is not to be tolerated. The law is sensitive to optics but it does pick and choose when optics are important and going to the wall with optics would be destructive. Your approach would be destructive of sharehoder value.
