The Dead Sea is truely dying. Seems that it is drying up as 90% of the water from the Jordan River is diverted, mainly for irrigation. The problem is accelerating as seen by the rapid increase of shore being exposed on a yearly basis. The solution-of-the-day appears to be to move a billion cubic meters of water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea. Consequences of such a move is uncertain.
Seems that the need is building for water reuse technologies in a number of areas in the world.
