BillyusYou say that companies will not give apy raises to employees w/o a strike, or being coherced in some way. Not my experience I'm afraid. When I started working in the mid-80's, the company I worked for was totally non-unionised, and I received double digit salary increases, BASED ON MERIT, which is something usually missing with unions. In later years, the company realised that it could no longer do such aggressive increases, and reduced them to cost of living increases, or close to that, again based on merit. As for tying anything to bike racks, I can proudly say that I ride my bike whenever I can. I get a perverse pleasure at seeing my O&G shares do well from those hooked on burning fossil fuels like there is no tomorrow, while I cruise by the gas station w/o the need to fill up!!
