RE: Vulcan out of Deal ?Howdy, Eagle.
I'm not sure if you're a worrier, the impatient type, or what. None of my business, anyhow. We're talking winter drilling--which usually takes longer and cost more. Delays are the norm. We're also talking drilling in an area with little infrastructure. As always, when using a new tool, or existing tool in different place or application, some modifications/additions may be required. Again, the norm.
As far as vul not participating: CEX wants jv partners and vul is probably the most attractive one they got, they're local and should have more knowledge of the area and more connections than anybody else. I don't know if you've ever visited with Pat Laracy, but he is a very sharp, focused, dedicated individual.
And vul--they've really liked Parson Pond right along. Management is patient and has spent years aquiring property, data, and knowledge. I would be extremely surprised if they walked due to a slight delay.
Anyway, as I've posted before--drilling has started. Some top hole made, casing set and cemented in and cured is a very significant step. I once walked up to a wellhead, on a well that later tested 10mm gas with 1000 psi, to watch gas bubbling up around the surface pipe. This was not a good feeling. You can bet co would have given a lot to be able to go back and redo it. Like building a house, if you don't do a proper job on foundation, you ain't gonna be happy later. And like building a house, there will be glitches and delays, but it's the finished result that's important.
